Job summary

Saint Joseph's Center in Scranton is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for the 2nd shift. Join a dedicated team caring for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role includes direct nursing care, medication administration, and individualized care planning.

Qualifications

• Experience with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and health monitoring for residents.
• Administer medications accurately and monitor for side effects.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with ICF/ID regulations.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (hygiene, dressing, feeding).
• Accompany residents to medical and dental appointments.
• Respond to health emergencies and implement appropriate interventions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and participate in care planning.
• Maintain adequate medical supplies and equipment.
• Support residents in community activities and outings.

Skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Ability to lift/move 25–50 lbs

Education

Current LPN license in Pennsylvania

CPR certification

Valid PA driver’s license
