Job summary

Seminole Care & Rehab in Oklahoma is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for night shift coverage. You will lead nursing care plans, document residents' needs, administer medications, and support IV starts and treatments as ordered.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited LPN School of Nursing.
• 1 year nursing experience preferred.
• Valid LPN License in Oklahoma.
• Valid CPR certification.

• Ability to respond quickly in emergencies.
• Maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Initiates and leads individualized nursing care plans.
• Assesses and documents residents' condition and needs.
• Implements physicians' orders accurately and promptly.
• Assigns nursing care to team members per residents' needs.
• Administers medications.
• Starts IVs and conducts treatments as assigned.
• Documents treatments and ensures supplies and equipment are maintained.

Essential Functions of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Initiates and leads individualized nursing care plans
• Assesses and documents the resident’s condition and nursing needs
• Accurately and promptly implements physicians’ orders
• Assigns nursing care to team members in accordance with the resident’s needs and the person’s capabilities and qualifications
• Administers medications
• Starts IVs and performs treatments for assigned residents
• Documents that treatment as required
• Ensures that supplies are utilized economically and that equipment is clean and maintained a safe manner
• Others duties may be assigned

Qualifications of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

• Graduate of accredited LPN School of Nursing
• 1 year nursing experience is preferred
• Valid LPN License is required in the state of Oklahoma
• Valid CPR certification
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
• Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations
• Ability to maintain confidentiality
• Knowledge of training techniques for clinical staff
