Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Vicksburg, MS is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide nursing and supportive care under the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care.

You’ll coordinate with the hospice team, document services, adhere to Medicare/Medicaid regulations, and may participate in ESOP and benefits including PTO, disability coverage, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• LPN license required in Mississippi.
• 2–3 years of LPN experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Must have dependable transportation, driver’s license, and car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing and supportive care per the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care under the RN.
• Coordinates care with physicians, hospice team, and external agencies.
• Documents all services and submits them on the appropriate forms.
• Complies with Medicare/Medicaid regulations for hospice benefits.
• Reports changes in patient condition to the RN.

Qualifications:

• Current Mississippi Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
• Minimum of 2-3 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Current CPR certification required

• Previous Hospice experience preferred

Job duties:

• Provides nursing and supportive care in accordance with the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, under the direction of the RN.
• Communicates with the attending physicians, other hospice team members, and other agencies as needed to coordinate optimal care and use of community resources for the patient/family
• Document all services provided and submit them on appropriate forms.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations for hospice benefits.
• Report changes in patient condition and needs to RN
