Job summary

St. Joseph Hospice in Vicksburg, MS is hiring for a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).

You will provide nursing and supportive care under the supervision of an RN, following the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, and collaborate with physicians and the hospice team. Qualifications

• Mississippi LPN license required.
• 2–3 years of LPN experience.
• CPR certification required.
• Dependable transportation with a valid driver's license and car insurance.
• Hospice experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing and supportive care in accordance with the Interdisciplinary Plan of Care, under the direction of the RN.
• Communicates with the attending physicians, hospice team members, and other agencies as needed to coordinate optimal care and use of community resources for the patient/family
• Document all services provided and submit them on appropriate forms.
• Demonstrates knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations for hospice benefits.
• Report changes in patient condition and needs to RN
• Great time management skills
