Job summary

Ascension in Wichita, KS seeks a day shift, full-time Gastroenterology Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Ascension Medical Group. You will deliver compassionate patient care under clinical leadership, monitor patient well-being, administer medications, and perform diagnostic tests to support accurate treatment plans.

Minimum requirements include BLS certification within 30 days and Kansas LPN licensure; a high school diploma or equivalent, or 1 year of related experience, is acceptable.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Practical/Vocational Nurse credentialed from Kansas Board of Nursing prior to hire date.

• Deliver compassionate patient care under clinical leadership, ensuring actions align with safety and licensing standards.
• Monitor and assess patient well-being to provide real-time updates to the care team and influence treatment plans.
• Administer medications and treatments with precision, observing patient responses for safe recovery.
• Execute vital diagnostic tests and therapeutic services to provide essential data for clinical decisions.
• Educate patients and families to prepare them for self-care and long-term health post-discharge.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need
