Saint Therese at St. Mary of the Woods is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse to join our skilled nursing team, administering medications, delivering treatments, and monitoring resident health.

You will collaborate with STNAs and the care team in a faith-based, person-centered environment, with every-other-weekend and holiday rotation, competitive pay, and opportunities for growth. This role rewards compassionate care and professional standards within Ohio.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing in Ohio.
• CPR certification is current.
• Completion of Ohio medication administration requirements.
• Knowledge of Ohio healthcare regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to residents according to care plans and orders.
• Safely administer medications and treatments and monitor responses.
• Document accurately in electronic health records.
• Identify and communicate changes in resident condition for follow-up.
• Supervise and coordinate with STNAs and care team members.
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies and regulations.
• Foster a respectful, compassionate, person-centered care environment.

Job description

Part-Time | Licensed Practical Nurse

Shift: 6:30am - 7:00pm | 36 hours per two-week pay period. This position includes working every other weekend and every other holiday.

Pay: $28.25-35.00/hour *Same Day Pay Available*

In this position, you'll combine strong clinical judgment with genuine compassion-administering medications, delivering treatments, and proactively monitoring resident health to ensure the best outcomes. This role is perfect for an LPN who values meaningful connections, takes pride in high-quality care, and enjoys making a visible difference each day.

• Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with individualized care plans and physician orders
• Safely administer medications and treatments while monitoring resident response and effectiveness
• Complete accurate and timely documentation using electronic health record systems
• Assess and communicate changes in resident condition to the Nurse Manager, providers, and family members, and assist with appropriate follow-up care
• Coordinate, oversee, and provide guidance to State Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs)
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations
• Promote a respectful, compassionate, and person-centered care environment
• Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and strong customer service in daily practice

Minimum Qualifications

• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing in the State of Ohio
• Current CPR certification
• Completion of Ohio requirements for medication administration
• Working knowledge of Ohio state rules and healthcare regulations
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with STNAs and care team members
• Ability to maintain regular attendance and professional work standards
• Ability to comply with all federal, state, and local health regulations, including required post-offer screenings
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

• IV certification
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or senior living settings
