We are looking for a reliable LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse). The ideal candidate will be experienced in providing diverse basic care to those who need it while remaining patient and calm. It is a demanding job but also very rewarding.
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing and coordinating nursing care in compliance with facility policies and procedures and to assess residents care needs and take appropriate action. The LPN is also responsible for the clinical direction and management of the STNA duties within the assigned nursing unit.
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nurse or Vocational Nursing Program. 1 year of LPN experience preferred. Ability to add and subtract and perform basic mathematics as it relates to the position is required. Ability to read/write/comprehend the English language in written & verbal form required. Ability to communicate both verbally and non-verbally required.
Successfully complete &/or comply with all required background checks to include but not limited to: Ohio BCI&I fingerprint analysis, FBI (if applicable) fingerprint analysis, Nurse Aide Registry, HHS/OIG list of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE) & Ohio Medicaid Provider Exclusion and Suspension List. Valid License to practice as a LPN in the State of Ohio. CPR certification required.
Provide services based on physician orders. Communicate physician, patient and family needs with the appropriate caregivers.
Intermediate personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity and word processing.
Responsible for the direction and management of the STNA’s and/or Restorative Aides within the facility.
Works regularly with some information such as medical records or reports, financial reports, information on computer screens or other electronic devices, and records that are restricted to specific persons. Must comply with confidentiality policy.
May be exposed to heat and cold in all weather conditions. Works regularly under desirable conditions with little or no disagreeable features. Distractions are frequent.
Primarily engages with adults and the elderly. Knowledge of the physical, social emotional, and intellectual needs of adults and the elderly will be helpful. This includes being able to detect abuse with regard to state regulations. Follows policy for reporting abuse.
