Job summary

Hillcrest Manor Nursing Center in Blackwell, OK, seeks a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our geriatric care team. You will follow Physician orders, assess residents, monitor vitals, document changes, and support families with guidance.

Active LPN license in Oklahoma is required, with 1 year of community-based care experience preferred. Candidates must pass a background check; LPN students meeting criteria may be considered. This is a full-time on-site position.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license in Oklahoma.
• 1 year of community-based care experience preferred.
• Must pass criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Follow physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for resident care.
• Record medical history accurately.
• Take and record vitals (BP, temp, HR).
• Observe patients and identify progress or side effects.
• Document changes and notify physician or supervisor.
• Administer injections, medications, wounds care, and basic nursing tasks.
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned.
• Provide emotional support and communicate with families.

Responsibilities:

• Follow Physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care
• Record a patient’s medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Document any change in patients’ condition, notify Physician, supervisor and document
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients’ family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions

Job Requirements:

• Have a current state LPN License.
• 1-year experience as an LPN, in a community-based care setting (preferred).
• Follow State regulations as well as company policies and guidelines.
• Must pass criminal background check.
• LPN students who meet certain criteria may be considered for this position!
