Job summary

Stilwell Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated LPN to provide compassionate care to residents in a geriatric setting. You will follow physician orders, document patient histories, monitor vital signs, and participate in wound care and medication administration.

Ideal candidates hold a current state LPN license, have about 1 year of community-based care experience, and can pass a criminal background check. LPN students meeting criteria may be considered for this role.

Qualifications

• Must have a current state LPN license.
• 1 year of LPN experience in a community-based care setting (preferred).
• Must pass criminal background check.
• LPN students who meet certain criteria may be considered for this position!

Responsibilities

• Follow physician orders and provide detailed assessment data for quality resident care
• Record a patient's medical history accurately
• Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc.
• Observe patients under treatment to identify progress, side-effects of medications etc.
• Document any change in patients' condition, notify Physician, supervisor and document
• Administer injections, prescribed medications, enemas etc., clean and dress wounds and assist with other basic medical care tasks
• Collect samples for lab testing as assigned
• Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
• Communicate with patients' family or friends to provide advice, comfort and release instructions
• Nurses get to utilize many different clinical skills because we service geriatric patients who have needs of wound care, infection control management, IV's, wound vacs, gastrostomy tubes, medication management, and more!
