Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a licensed practical nurse to provide in-home patient care across Maine. The role focuses on delivering high-quality home health services in a day-shift, full-time schedule with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities include visiting patients, coordinating with RNs and physicians, performing assessments, administering treatments, and ensuring accurate documentation. Requires active LPN license in applicable state and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical LPN experience.
• Current LPN license for the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Verify plan of care with the RN prior to each visit.
• Collaborate with physician and RN frequently to ensure patient needs are met; notify when patient condition changes.
• Teach patients and caregivers self-care techniques.
• Check vital signs.
• Review medications and perform medication reconciliation at each visit.
• Perform specialized procedures ordered by physician (e.g. foley catheter change).
• Prepare equipment and materials for treatments using aseptic technique.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
