Job summary

Caretenders Home Health, part of LHC Group and UnitedHealth Group family, is seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant in Sunbury, Ohio. You will perform treatment, provide exercise instruction, and education to improve well-being under a supervising PT.

Primary responsibilities include following state PT laws, guiding patients through exercises, documenting responses, coordinating with the healthcare team, and assisting with mobility and ADLs. Weekend rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed, registered, or certified to assist in the practice of physical therapy in the state of practice.
• Current driver's license and a dependable vehicle or access to public transportation.
• Available to work a weekend rotation.

Responsibilities

• Follow state-specific laws governing home care PT practice and treatment as defined by the supervising PT.
• Instruct and assist patients in active and passive exercise, gait, ADL, and mobility training.
• Observe and report patient responses to treatment; coordinate care with the health care team.
• Educate patient, family, and caregivers on therapy within the scope of the physical therapy assistant.
• Provide care in various home settings with respect for all patients' backgrounds.
