Job summary

Apploi is seeking a Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house Skilled Nursing Facility team in Oklahoma. The PTA will support the Physical Therapist, conduct screenings, assist in evaluations, and help develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on strength, mobility, balance, gait, and functional activities.

You will participate in both individual and group sessions, adapt techniques, monitor progress, and coordinate with the care team to ensure high-quality resident

Qualifications

• Associate degree in physical therapy is required.
• Licensed PTA in the states of practice is required.
• Ongoing continuing education to maintain licensure.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy services to residents under the direct supervision of the Physical Therapist.
• Conduct screenings of residents at regular intervals to determine need for intervention/treatment.
• Identify indications for evaluations and assist in the evaluation under the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in treatment planning with target goals and treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group treatment addressing muscle strength, mobility, balance, gait, ROM and modalities.
• Assist in selecting and sequencing therapy techniques/media with guidance from the Physical Therapist.
• Monitor residents' response to intervention and adjust as indicated by the Physical Therapist.
• Assist in creating and modifying resident schedules with the Physical Therapist and team.
• Adhere to resident schedules and adjust as needed for treatment regimens.
• Educate residents, family, and staff on therapy equipment use.
• Participate in resident, family, and staff education.
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment in therapy evaluation, planning, implementation, and follow-up.
• Report to work on time and optimize productivity during shift.
• Assist with Quality Assurance activities as required.
• Complete CMS-compliant documentation in NetHealth EMR.

Education

Associate's degree in Physical Therapy

Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in state(s) of practice

Continuing education and licensure maintenance
