Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant required.
• Active PTA license and BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to educate patients and collaborate with care team.

Responsibilities

• Educates patients, families, and staff using effective teaching.
• Follows and updates the plan of care after communication with PT.
• Documents per policy in the daily notes and records.
• Completes required annual education for program requirements.
• Follows treatment plan of care established by PT.
• Provides therapeutic exercise, gait/balance training, ultrasound.
• Administers electrical stimulation treatment.
• Provides aquatic therapy when appropriate.
• Documents in therapy EMR daily and bills accordingly.
• Coordinates with PT on interventions and progress.
• Communicates progress to referring provider.
