Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Atwater, CA is seeking a Phlebotomist I. This role operates Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotational weekends. A state phlebotomy license is required.

The pay range listed is $21.80 to $23.75 per hour. Comprehensive benefits and potential performance bonuses are offered. Responsibilities include specimen collection, specimen processing, data entry, and adherence to policy and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in California, Nevada and Washington.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures (drug screens, biometric screening, insurance exams).
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Research test/client information and verify orders using lab systems, client contact, and approved tools.
• Navigate a computer and enter data accurately.
• Obtain identification and enter billing information and collect payments following policies.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stock, sanitizing, filing, phones and emails.
• Read, understand and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
• Assist with compilation and submission of statistics and data.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs (maintenance and temperature logs).
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
