Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking licensed Professional Engineers to blend business development with technical workload. You’ll manage client relationships, seal reports, and guide field staff while achieving revenue targets.

Responsibilities include selling projects, writing proposals, and serving as engineer of record on won projects, with travel to client offices and sites. Equal opportunity employer; base salary plus revenue share.

Qualifications

• Active Professional Engineer license in civil/geotechnical/structural or ability to obtain by comity within 90 days.
• Minimum 6+ years in construction materials testing, geotechnical engineering, or special inspection with client-facing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated track record of bringing in work or credible market plan.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a client book including general contractors, owners, developers, and design firms.
• Scope, price, and write proposals; negotiate terms; convert opportunities into signed work.
• Serve as engineer of record: review field/lab data, seal reports/letters, and resolve issues.
• Direct technicians/inspectors; coordinate with laboratory on testing schedules.
• Represent company at owner meetings, pre-construction meetings, and industry events.
