Warby Parker in Austin, TX is seeking a licensed dispensing optician to join our in-house optical team. You will take measurements, fit eyewear, and ensure finished products meet our optical and customer requirements while explaining prescription terminology to customers.

You will collaborate with teammates to deliver exceptional service, help customers choose frames based on prescription, face fit, and lifestyle, and promote Warby Parker’s brand and values daily.

Qualifications

• Licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license or ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states.
• Passionate about eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective, and professional communicator who can explain technical terms to customers.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet all of their eyewear needs
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute these details with flawless accuracy
• Check that our finished eyewear meets our optical standards and customer requirements
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers
• Collaborate with your team to ensure exceptional service for all customers
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription needs, face fit, and lifestyle
• Collaborate with team to form best practices for sales and customer service
• Represent our brand to educate others and promote our values and mission
