Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking a licensed Optician to join our in-house optical team. You will work directly with customers, take measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure finished products meet our standards and customer expectations.

You will explain prescription terminology, help with frame and lens choices, and collaborate with a store team to deliver outstanding service consistent with Warby Parker values.

Qualifications

• A licensed dispensing optician in states that require a license (or an ABO-certified optician in non-licensing states).
• Passionate about the eyewear and retail industries.
• Clear, effective, and professional communicator.
• Dedicated to going above-and-beyond to make customers and teammates happy.
• Energetic, positive team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Extremely detail-oriented and capable of juggling a wide range of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with customers to help meet all of their eyewear needs.
• Take and record measurements, adjust and fit eyewear, and execute these details with flawless accuracy.
• Check that our finished eyewear meets optical standards and customer requirements.
• Explain prescription terminology and product offerings to customers.
• Work with your team to ensure exceptional service for all customers.
• Help customers choose frames and lenses based on prescription needs, face fit, style, and lifestyle.
• Collaborate with your team to form best practices for sales and customer service.
• Represent our brand to educate others and promote our values.
