Visionworks in New York, Lenox Park, seeks a Customer Service Optician who assists customers with frame and lens selections, interprets prescriptions, and dispenses eyewear while maintaining social distancing and hygiene standards.

You will provide accurate product information, work with insurance, use the SERVE process, review prescriptions with the lab and optometrist, and ensure precise pricing. State licensure is required; strong communication is essential.

Formación

• Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing.
• Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, services, the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions, fitting and dispensing.

Responsabilidades

• Assist customers with frame and lens selections.
• Ensure compliance with social distancing and hygiene protocols.
• Provide accurate product information on frames, lens selections and services.
• Inform customers about insurance coverage and any charges not covered by insurance.
• Utilize SERVE sales process to identify needs and recommend lenses.
• Analyze and interpret prescriptions; liaise with Lab/Optometrist for accuracy.
• Sell, fit and dispense frames and accessories with precise measurements.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dispensing area.
• Ensure accurate customer pricing and comply with licensing requirements.
• Support Apprentice Opticians when applicable.
• Adhere to HIPAA and company policies.
• Participate in trainings to meet departmental goals.
• Keep equipment and facilities clean; adapt to changing business needs.
