Job summary

Eyeglass World in the United States is seeking an Optical Specialist to join our in-store team. This customer-facing role focuses on delivering an elevated, brand-aligned experience, from pre-exam support to eyewear readiness, fitting, and pickup.

Sunday hours are closed, providing a consistent day off. The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (Required).
• 1 year experience in optical, retail, sales, or customer service (Required).
• Active dispensing license as required by state (if applicable).
• Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills (Required).
• Clear communication and the ability to educate customers effectively (Required).
• Ability to prioritize customer satisfaction at every interaction (Required).
• Bilingual abilities (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Deliver warm, confident, and personalized service at every stage of the visit.
• Guide customers through eyewear selection, final fitting, and product education.
• Ensure customers leave feeling confident in both their eyewear and their experience.
• Assist with patient flow and pre-exam screenings to support Optometrists.
• Help ensure smooth transitions between exam, finish, and pickup moments.
• Perform finishing work including final adjustments, inspections and quality checks.
