Job summary
Walmart Optical Centers in Lathrop, CA are seeking a qualified Optician/Associate to assist members with eyewear purchases, measure pupillary distance, and verify prescriptions. You will perform frame adjustments, manage orders, and coordinate with labs to ensure accurate delivery of eyewear.
Position requires NPI/licensure, ABO/NCLE certifications, and state licensure sponsorship as needed. This on-site role includes educating members on eyewear care and supporting insurance processing and
Qualifications
- Maintains NPI number and licensure.
- Maintains ABO and/or NCLE certifications.
- Sponsoring Apprentice Optical Technicians as required by state regulations.
- High school diploma or GED, or higher as required by state.
Responsibilities
- Assist members with eyewear purchases, measure pupillary distance, and verify prescription information.
- Perform frame adjustments, repairs, and final eyewear inspections.
- Process optical orders and coordinate with labs/optometrists on updates and status.
- Provide optical services while adhering to state licensure and company policies.
