AEG Vision in Knoxville seeks a Licensed Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and outstanding patient care on-site.

You will consult on frames, lenses, and coatings, ensure accurate measurements, interpret prescriptions, and guide patients through insurance benefits.

Qualifications

• State Licensure required or equivalent.
• 2-3 years optical dispensing experience preferred.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• HIPAA knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide eyewear recommendations and exceptional patient care.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Record prescriptions into the EHR and ensure documentation.
• Follow up on orders and update patients on status.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care, warranty, and coverage.
• Ensure accurate frame fit, measurements, and lens dispensing.
• Interpret prescriptions from Optometrists and Ophthalmologists.
• Coordinate with technicians and managers on order progress.
• Perform eyewear adjustments and repairs as needed.
• Maintain clean, organized work area and display boards.
