Job summary

National Vision is seeking an Assistant Eyeglass Manager in the Mayfield Heights area to oversee daily store operations, lead a team of Opticians and Sales associates, and drive profitability through strong customer service and efficient eyeglass department management.

You will mentor staff, manage scheduling and training, and ensure compliance with company standards while maintaining exceptional store performance and a focus on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong communication skills (oral and written) for effective management of teams.
• Strong organizational skills for planning work and monitoring progress toward goals.
• Ability to analyze, create, and understand financial reports.
• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• ABO and NCLE Certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Monitors retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
• Oversees eyeglass department efficiency and compliance with policies and guidelines.
• Leads and coaches Opticians and CL Sales associates and ensures day-to-day functions are completed.
• Assists General Manager with staffing forecasts, recruiting and retention.
• Mentors Apprentice Opticians as permitted by law.
