Job summary

National Vision’s America’s Best brand is expanding with a focus on delivering eyewear and eye care at great value. The Assistant Eyeglass Manager oversees daily store operations, staff performance, and customer experience, ensuring merchandising and promotions align with brand standards.

Sunday closures are part of our schedule. The role includes supervising Opticians and Sales staff, coaching to hit sales and service targets, and mentoring Apprentices where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Maintain Optical license as required by the state.
• Optical sales experience; supervising experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, coach and build associate relationships.
• Strong understanding of store operations and standards for success.
• Strong communication skills for effective management of teams.
• ABO and NCLE Certification

Responsibilities

• Drives, monitors, and achieves profit, sales and performance goals according to National Vision standards.
• Monitors retail operating costs, budgets, and resources.
• Oversees eyeglass department efficiency and compliance with policies.
• Mentors and supervises Opticians and CL Sales associates.
• Assists General Manager with staffing forecasting and retention.
• Leads associates toward sales and customer service goals.
