Position Overview

The Licensed Optician plays a key role in delivering the brand’s value proposition and establishing LensCrafters as the premier destination for vision needs. They create value through legendary customer service and high-quality eyewear that exceeds expectations.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

1. Welcome customers and set expectations.
2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses.
3. Lead in optical expertise and assist with complex product needs.
4. Take and record measurements, adjust eyewear, and ensure standards are met.
5. Utilize technology accurately and efficiently under time constraints.
6. Explore root causes of issues, be proactive, and ensure customer satisfaction.
7. Manage multiple tasks, prioritize, and organize effectively.
8. Contribute to achieving store KPIs and competencies.
9. Maintain store appearance and safety practices.
10. Be resourceful, self-motivated, and committed to continual learning.
11. Adhere to company policies including discounts, promotions, and inventory management.

Basic Qualifications

1. High School diploma or equivalent.
2. State Licensure.
3. Optical dispensing experience.
4. Strong customer service and communication skills.
5. Knowledge of current merchandise and fashion trends.
6. Basic math skills and familiarity with POS and technology.
7. Ability to embrace new technology and change.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous customer service and retail experience is preferred.
