Responsibilities
- Assist patients in selecting spectacles and contact lenses, providing education on options, lens choices, and frame styling.
- Calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility.
- Accurately enter spectacle orders and monitor delivery status.
- Verify orders, notify patients, and schedule dispensing.
- Follow up with patients on eyewear adaptation and contact lens use.
- Perform adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Troubleshoot patient concerns with eyewear.
- Maintain inventory of optical retail supplies and display merchandise.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the office manager, team lead, or doctors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience, certification, or license relevant to opticianry (wage depends on these).
- Ability to perform physical activities like talking and hearing; visual acuity required.
