ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist patients in selecting spectacles and contact lenses, providing education on quality choices, lens options, and frame styling to suit their lifestyle and prescriptions
• Calculate insurance co-pays based on eligibility
• Accurately process spectacle orders and monitor their status to ensure timely delivery
• Enter spectacle orders into the system, verify accuracy, notify patients, and schedule dispensing appointments
• Follow up with patients regarding the progress of their eyewear adaptation and contact lens prescriptions
• Perform adjustments and repairs as needed
• Address patient concerns related to eyewear
• Maintain inventory for optical retail, including lab supplies, and report as required
• Maintain optical merchandise displays
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the office manager, team lead, or doctors

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines):

• Physical activity includes talking and hearing
• Work is primarily sedentary, involving sitting most of the time
• Visual acuity is required to ensure accuracy and quality of work
