Job summary

Shopko Optical in Ontario, OH, is seeking a Full-time Licensed Optical Sales Associate to join our team. You will provide excellent patient and customer service in the selection, ordering and dispensing of eyewear. On-the-job training is provided, no experience necessary.

Responsibilities include assisting with case histories and screenings, processing billing information, and maintaining frame inventory. Competitive wages, benefits, and discounts are offered to teammates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Maintain state license as required
• Complete Shopko OCE Certification modules
• Previous experience in an office or optical dispensing preferred
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions and calls

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to standards
• Analyze eyewear needs and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames
• Assist in selecting frames to suit style and measurements
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally
• Assist with frame repairs and adjustments and contact lens care
• Support Optometrist with case histories and screenings
• Maintain knowledge of third-party plans and claims
• Prepare lab work orders and process medical billing information
