Job summary

Shopko Optical in Antioch, IL is hiring a full-time Optical Sales Associate to deliver great customer service and assist with eyewear selection, ordering, and dispensing. On-the-job training is provided, and no prior experience is required.

The role involves patient care, billing processing, and inventory maintenance, with competitive wages and a benefits package including holidays, vacation, and health plans.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.
• Previous experience in an office/optical dispensing is preferred.
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls at a time.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs.
• Recommend specific lenses, coatings and frames to satisfy patient needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color; coordinate with facial measurements and prescriptions.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist patients with frame repairs and adjustments.
• Show patients how to insert, remove and care for contact lenses.
• Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
