Job summary

Shopko Optical is seeking a full-time Optical Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service in the selection, ordering and dispensing of eyewear. You will perform pre-screening activities and prepare work orders for the Optical Lab, while processing medical billing and maintaining frame inventory.

On the job training provided, no experience necessary. This role requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends and to support store operations as needed.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.
• Previous experience in an office and/or optical dispensing preferred.
• Able to handle multiple customer interactions/phone calls.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs.
• Recommend lenses, coatings and frames to meet patient needs.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and color and ensure proper measurements.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally.
• Assist patients with frame repairs and adjustments and contact lens care.
• Assist Optometrist with case histories and screenings.
