Job summary

Shopko Optical in Huntley, IL seeks a full-time Optical Sales Associate to provide exceptional patient and customer service in eyewear selection, ordering and dispensing. On-the-job training and certification opportunities are available, with no experience required initially.

Responsibilities include pre-screening patients, processing orders, managing frame inventory and assisting with lab work. Must be able to handle multiple interactions and extend hours as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Maintain license as required by state.
• To become Certified, teammate must complete Shopko OCE Certification requirements and calendar modules.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer and patient service according to company and Optical Center standards.
• Analyze patient eyewear needs and recommend lenses, coatings, and frames.
• Assist patients in selecting frames according to style and measurements.
• Order and dispense eyewear accurately and professionally; assist with repairs and adjustments.
• Show patients how to insert, remove and care for contact lenses; assist Optometrist with histories and screenings.
