Job summary

Pacific Villas Post Acute is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist Assistant to support the lead OT with direct patient care and treatment planning.

You will document progress, adhere to regulatory requirements, and train nursing staff on maintenance and discharge planning. Strong reading comprehension and communication are essential, along with current OTA licensing and proficiency with Casamba/Point Click Care.

Qualifications

• Licensed as Staff Occupational Therapy Assistant in the state.
• Proficient with Casamba and Point Click Care.
• Ability to read technical procedures and policy manuals.
• Ability to present information clearly to managers, coworkers and families.
• Mathematical skills: fractions, percentages, ratios.
• Reasoning skills: solve practical problems.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients as directed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Record daily treatment notes and weekly progress notes per OT Board.
• Follow physician treatment plans for patient care.
• Assist nursing with training of Restorative Aides.
• Communicate progress and plans with supervisor and health team.
• Participate in in‑services training for staff.
• Maintain evaluations and documentation per regulatory requirements.
• Instruct families and nursing staff for maintenance programs.
• Assist with discharge planning and treatment area upkeep.
