Brown University Health seeks a Nursing Assistant to support patient care from admission to discharge under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role emphasizes safety, basic nursing skills, and timely communication of observations.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining a clean environment, and following hospital policies. Rhode Island licensing and BLS are required; 12-hour day shifts are available at The Miriam Hospital in Providence.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Certified in American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care to patients across the life span with aging, development and cultural considerations.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Registered Nurse to organize work and set priorities.
• Performs Personal Care Skills.
• Performs Basic Nursing Assistant Skills as outlined by RI Department of Health.
• Performs daily activities of living and ambulates patient as appropriate.
• Maintain safe environment and report unsafe conditions or equipment needs.
• Communicate patient observations to the Registered Nurse.
• Maintain quality assurance and infection control in line with policies.
