Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patients from admission to discharge under the supervision of the Registered Nurse at Rhode Island Hospital.

You will perform personal care tasks, monitor patients, document observations in the EHR, and ensure safety; the role requires Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license and BLS, with night shifts and a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island Nursing Assistant license and active certification.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills for documentation.
• Certified in American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers.
• Knowledge to provide care across the patient life span with sensitivity.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Registered Nurse to organize work and set priorities.
• Personal Care Skills
• Basic Nursing Assistant Skills as per Rhode Island DOH guidance
• Rehabilitation Skills and daily living activities assistance
• Maintain a safe environment and report unsafe conditions
• Observe and report signs and symptoms to RN
• Perform additional duties as required
