Brown University Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support patient care from admission to discharge under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. The role emphasizes compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence in daily patient interactions at The Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI.

Required RI Nursing Assistant license, HS diploma or equivalent, and BLS certification. 12-hour day shifts; 7:00 am to 7:30 pm; prior CNA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Rhode Island license as a Nursing Assistant.
• High school graduate or its equivalent preferred.
• Ability to perform basic computer skills.
• Certified in BLS by American Heart Association.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care across the lifespan.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with Registered Nurse to organize work and set priorities.
• Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse, performs Personal Care Skills; Basic Nursing Assistant Skills.
• Rehabilitation Skills: daily activities of living; ambulates patient as appropriate.
• Maintenance of Safe Environment: report unsafe conditions to RN; report equipment in need of repair.
• Recognition of and Reporting Signs and Symptoms: communicate observations to the RN.
• Safety: maintain infection control and document data in the EHR; may function as patient observer.
