Shannon Kuhn Insurance in Covington, LA seeks a licensed, detail-oriented Insurance Sales Assistant to join our team. You will support a Senior Sales Associate, ensuring new sales details are completed accurately and on time, while delivering excellent customer service.

The role suits someone who enjoys organization, problem-solving, and following tasks through to completion in a fast-paced agency environment.

Qualifications

• Active Louisiana Property & Casualty or Personal Lines license.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant insurance, sales, or customer service experience.
• Strong organizational & time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple customers and deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with professional phone and email etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Review new policies for signatures, documents, payments, inspections, and underwriting requirements.
• Identify missing information or issues; coordinate with customers, underwriting, lenders, and agency team; follow through to resolution.
• Maintain accurate customer and policy information in agency systems and document contacts and pending items.
• Assist customers with home inspections, underwriting requirements, Drivewise enrollment, and other policy requirements.
• Monitor mortgagee-billed policies for payment; provide lenders with evidence of coverage as needed.
• Guide customers through canceling policies with previous carrier.
• Send thank-you cards to new customers as part of onboarding.
• Support incoming calls, messages, payments, and policy document inquiries.
