Stonington Institute, a division of Universal Health Services, seeks a full-time Admissions Counselor at our Groton, CT location to support adults seeking substance abuse treatment. The role involves guiding potential patients and families, providing program information, and coordinating referrals with clinical teams.

The incumbent will perform intake screening, verify insurance, and maintain bed availability.

Competenze

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working in behavioral health/substance abuse field.
• Intake/admissions experience required.

Mansioni

• Answers all inquiry calls and questions related to Stonington’s programs and services
• Provides intake, admission, and program information to potential patients, their families, and referral sources
• Performs telephonic screening and appropriately interprets clinical data obtained.
• Maintains census and bed availability information on an ongoing basis.
• Verification of insurance coverage.
