Stonington Institute in Groton, CT, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a full-time Shift Lead to supervise residential staff and coordinate with clinicians in our detox and treatment programs.

Qualifications

• Highschool Diploma required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• CT Recovery Coach certification required.
• Must have previous experience in the field of mental health/substance abuse.

Responsibilities

• Orients, trains and coaches new hires.
• Supervises residential staff on shift.
• Responds to resident issues in consultation with the Program Director/Program Manager.
• Works closely with clinicians and case managers in communicating resident behavior at Trails Corner.
• Intervenes with residents at risk of leaving the program against clinical advice; de-escalates upset residents.
• Ensures compliance with program rules and facility policy and regulatory requirements.
• Completes daily bed count and updates bedboard.
