Job summary

Claratel Behavioral Health seeks a Co-responder Licensed Clinician to join a collaborative program with the local Police Department to respond to behavioral health crises in the community. You will conduct field assessments, crisis intervention, and connect individuals to resources.

Supervision is provided by the program manager. The role emphasizes safety risk evaluation, crisis stabilization planning, homeless outreach, and coordination with receiving facilities.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia, or master’s level Counselor/Social Worker with commitment to obtain license within 6 months.
• At least two years of mental health/substance use disorder experience in assessment, crisis intervention and stabilization.
• Knowledgeable about signs and symptoms of withdrawal and acute psychosis.
• Must possess basic computer and typing skills; CPR trained.

Responsibilities

• Provide field on-site clinical assessment and crisis intervention in the community.
• Engage in homeless outreach and collaboration with community/law enforcement.
• Evaluate safety risk and initiate 1013/2013 as appropriate.
• Provide therapeutic de-escalation and disposition planning.
• Complete electronic documentation for each call and follow-up.
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule to support officers.
