Job summary

Douglas County Government is seeking a CRT clinician to serve as a Co-Responder alongside law enforcement, delivering emergency response, crisis assessment, and short-term intervention in community or school settings.

The role emphasizes collaboration with partners, psychosocial evaluations, safety planning, and linkage to services within a Wrap-Around framework to reduce crisis and prevent unnecessary hospital visits.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, or social work.
• Must be licensed or pending licensure (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).
• At least 2 years of treatment experience in a mental health setting.
• Must have crisis experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess, stabilize, and safety plan with individuals and families to reduce risk.
• Work with law enforcement, treatment providers, and partners as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Assist in diverting individuals from ERs, jail, and unnecessary hospitalization.
• Conduct psychosocial evaluations during acute psychiatric emergencies.
• Develop safety and crisis intervention plans and maintain therapeutic partnerships.
• Coordinate placement and follow-up with community providers using Wrap-Around principles.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and maintain relationships with community professionals.
• Provide culturally aware care and refer to resource services for SDoH needs.
• Document assessments and interactions in the CRT system.
• Attend team meetings and report to the CRT Clinical Supervisor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
