Job summary

Ramos CS, now a part of Colliers Engineering & Design, is hiring Construction Managers to oversee contracts for a transit capital program in field or office settings. Responsibilities include safety oversight, contract administration, and coordination with multiple disciplines across tunnels, stations, and trackwork.

The role requires a PE license in WA, a civil engineering degree, and 10+ years of heavy civil or transit construction management experience, including $50M+ projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional Engineer license in Washington is required.
• Approximately 10+ years of construction management experience in heavy civil or transit projects.
• Public Works project experience of at least $50M in value.
• Ability to read, write and understand English for job communications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safety of Authority, state, contractor staff, and the traveling public; observes contractor operations and takes corrective action.
• Reviews contractor operations for OSHA compliance and safety requirements on active transit sites.
• Maintains complete project records, including schedules, budgets, and work orders, per regulations.
• Communicates with contractors on plans, quality, and construction activity.
• Performs field inspections to verify conformance with plans, specs, and provisions.
• Prepares reports and documents daily diaries of contractor progress and discussions.
• Manages project records and ensures program policies are followed.
• Calculates field quantities for payments and documents as-built conditions.
• Monitors project schedule and budget; reports to Senior Construction Manager and leadership.
• Prepares contract change orders and evaluates field conditions requiring changes.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline

Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington
