Job summary

The Therapist at Sacramento Children's Home provides individual and family psychotherapy within the FSPW program, collaborating with county and community partners to achieve treatment goals. You’ll schedule sessions, assess needs, and attend team meetings to ensure best practices are applied.

Responsibilities include timely progress notes, required paperwork, supervision participation, and occasional training delivery. A Master’s degree and licensure eligibility are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited school of Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or MFT.
• Licensed Therapists must hold a California BBS license (LMFT, LCSW or LPCC).
• Unlicensed Therapists must be registered with BBS and pursue licensure within six years.
• Ability to work with children and families and to communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and family therapy within the FSPW program and coordinate with county partners.
• Write progress notes and complete required mental health documentation on schedule.
• Attend supervision, provide consultation, and assist with treatment planning when needed.
• Participate in trainings, external meetings, and IEP-related activities as required.
• Ensure collaboration with other services for youth and monitor treatment progress.
