Eligibility requires Minnesota 1-B and 2-B Boiler Licenses and the ability to pass 15, 30, and 45 day testing requirements. Wages reflect license level and include extensive benefits; expect occasional overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures.
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and peers.

Responsibilities

• Operate boilers and steam/hot water systems safely and efficiently.
• Monitor meters and adjust fuel feed, draft openings, water level, and steam pressure.
• Perform repairs such as changing burners and tightening pipes and fittings as needed.
• Maintain logs of readings and fuel consumption.
• Communicate boiler operations needs with production and maintenance teams to ensure safety.
