Job summary

Lamb Weston in Park Rapids, MN is seeking a Boiler Maintenance technician to operate and maintain boilers and steam systems that power our potato processing plant. You will work safely, follow state codes and Lamb Weston policies, and support efficient plant operations.

Candidates must hold Minnesota Boiler Licenses I-B, II-B or III-B as appropriate, demonstrate solid reading, writing and math skills, and be able to wear HazMat PPE.

Qualifications

• Language skills: read, write and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units, including fractions/percentages.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain boilers and steam/hot water systems safely and efficiently.
• Lights gas or oil‑fed burners under supervision.
• Monitor pressure, temperature, and draft meters; adjust fuel feed and water levels accordingly.
• Perform repairs to burners, pipes, and fittings as needed.
• Maintain logs of readings and fuel consumption; ensure safety requirements are met.
• Communicate boiler needs with production and maintenance teams.
