Job summary

Empower Mental Health in Florida is seeking a licensed Audiologist for C&P evaluations of Veterans. This is a non-treatment, evaluation-focused role offering flexible scheduling and the option to supplement income as a 1099 independent contractor.

You will conduct VA-compliant audiology assessments, review records, perform testing, and prepare concise reports in VA formats. In-person opportunities are available with no ongoing patient care or billing.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Audiologist license.
• Calibrated audiometer required for VA testing.
• Diagnostic tympanometer access needed for tympanometry and reflex testing.
• Master's degree or higher in relevant field.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Ability to follow structured evaluation protocols.
• Capable of Maryland CNC testing.
• Access to specified diagnostic audiology equipment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct C&P audiology evaluations for Veterans.
• Perform VA guideline-based hearing assessments.
• Review medical records and examination information.
• Obtain focused histories via interviews.
• Perform audiometric testing and document results.
• Prepare VA-ready reports succinctly.
• Maintain boundaries between evaluation and treatment.
• Submit documentation within required timeframes.
• Ensure ethical and confidential handling of data.
• Follow all applicable professional guidelines.
