Job summary

MYSI Corporation is seeking an Advocacy Coordinator (Licensed) to provide case management and advocacy in a therapeutic residential care setting for youth ages 14 to 21. You will manage a caseload, assess emotional and mental health needs, and collaborate with families and DCFS to promote stability and positive outcomes.

Ideal candidates hold a CWEL license, have strong communication skills, and can travel regularly for program visits and external partnerships within a day shift schedule in

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field with at least 2 years of professional case management experience in a residential, transitional or shelter care program.
• CWEL (Child Welfare Employee Licensure) - licensure required.
• CERAP (Child Endangerment Risk Assessment Protocol) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide casework services for each youth as they transition through the program, using counseling and other supportive methods, service plan formulation and implementation, and appropriate involvement with the natural family.
• Prepare records, reports, and file materials as required by DCFS.
• Attend court hearings, prepare and file all court documents within required timeframes.
• Schedule all medical appointments and transport clients to and from residential settings.
• Maintain updated SACWIS and Uniform Incident Reports (UIRs).
• Travel regularly to external parties and visit programs weekly.
• Carry a caseload of clients and formulate assessments of emotional, social and mental health needs.
• Provide supplemental case management and face-to-face advocacy services.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
