Job summary

MYSI Corporation seeks an Advocacy Coordinator II to provide case management and serve as a positive role model for youth in a residential program on the Northside of Chicago.

You will assess emotional, social, and mental health needs, document progress, collaborate with DCFS, Medicaid, courts, and other agencies, and participate in treatment planning.

Flexibility for evenings, weekends, and on-call duties is required, with training and growth opportunities in a supportive, diverse team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 1 year of professional experience in a child and family welfare agency.
• At least 2 years of direct case management experience required.
• Strong communication, problem solving, conflict resolution and crisis management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide case manager services for minors 14 to 17.5 and support transitions through residential program.
• Document client progress, education, employment interests and financial literacy in files.
• Attend court hearings and file necessary documents within required timeframes.
• Coordinate with DCFS, Medicaid, courts, education plans and other agencies.
• Assist with medication dispensing, monitoring and tracking when needed.
• Support milieu operations and maintain a positive residence environment.
