Honda of Downtown Chicago is seeking an Automotive License & Title Clerk to join our finance team in Chicago, IL. You will manage title and registration paperwork for sold and traded vehicles and coordinate with customers, lenders, and government agencies.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, lenders, and agencies to resolve issues.
• Partner with sales and finance teams to keep deals moving through the title process.
• Maintain organized, up-to-date title records.
• Follow dealership procedures and legal requirements.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed.

Honda of Downtown Chicago, part of Murgado Automotive Group, is seeking a detail-oriented Automotive License & Title Clerk to join our finance team. You will manage vehicle title and registration paperwork, support accurate and timely dealership transactions, and coordinate with customers, lenders, and government agencies.

The ideal candidate has automotive title experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced dealership environment.

What You’ll Do

• Process title and registration paperwork for sold and traded vehicles accurately and on time.
• Prepare and submit title transfer documentation to the appropriate state and local agencies.
• Calculate and verify sales taxes, registration fees, and other vehicle transaction charges.
• Review customer and vehicle information for completeness and accuracy.
• Communicate with customers, lenders, and government agencies to resolve title and registration issues.
• Partner with sales and finance teams to keep deals moving through the title process.
• Maintain organized, accurate, and up-to-date title records.
• Follow dealership procedures and applicable legal requirements.
• Provide additional administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in finance or a related field is a plus.
• Previous license and title clerk, dealership title, or closely related experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Proficiency with title and registration software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
