Job summary

Charlotte County’s Library is seeking a Library Technician (Part Time) to deliver friendly, responsive service and support daily library operations. You will assist patrons with locating materials, using the catalog, and obtaining library cards while helping create a welcoming environment.

You’ll also handle shelving, catalog maintenance, overdue items, and basic book processing. Work closely with librarians to ensure materials are accurate and accessible for the community.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of experience in customer service or library operations preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Assist patrons with locating and checking out materials.
• Help users with library catalog, reference resources, and public computers.
• Enter and update catalog information and process materials for branches.
• Shelve, organize, and label library materials; search for missing items.
• Provide accurate records and reports and support librarians.
