Job summary

Georgia Tech Library seeks a Technical Services Associate I to provide access to teaching, learning, and research materials, handling digital and physical requests, and delivering dependable technical services to patrons.

You will work with faculty, students, and staff, processing interlibrary loans, cataloging, course reserves, and metadata updates, while complying with copyright rules and using library systems.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements: Technical Diploma, Associate's degree, or two years college work or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Required experience: Two to four job related experience
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree; Two to three years job related experience

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide array of access and technical services for the Library.
• Process interlibrary lending and borrowing requests using advanced resource sharing techniques.
• Search and download articles from library online databases for document delivery with copyright compliance.
• Answer questions and resolve issues from library patrons using multiple library systems.
• Participate in library projects and initiatives.
• Engage in learning opportunities with other Library areas to broaden services.
• Manage Course Reserve requests for various formats and ensure appropriate removals at semester end.
• Process physical items into collection and update metadata in the library system.
• Receive, check-in, and reconcile serial issues and input invoices.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
