Allina Health is seeking a strategic Library and Patient Education leader in Minneapolis, MN to guide services and a team of professionals. The role focuses on developing evidence-based information access, aligning resources with stakeholder needs, and advancing patient education across campuses.

The position requires building partnerships, managing budgets, and driving improvements in care and organizational outcomes, with a hybrid schedule and daytime shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Library, Information Science, Health Education, or related field.
• 5+ years working experience with evidence-based practice and adult education.
• 5+ years experience managing people, leading projects/programs and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Builds and fosters relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to support information needs for systemwide initiatives.
• Assesses services and resources using data; informs changes to operations considering budget and equity.
• Monitors and documents outcomes of patient education initiatives and adjusts to improve outcomes.
• Develops annual budget and manages financial performance to budget.
• Ensures high quality services, resources, and tools, including vendor management.
• Maintains current knowledge of professional standards through networking and continued education.
• Oversees the Library Services and Patient Education web presence and outreach communications.
• Trains staff on library and patient education resources and best training practices.
• Manages databases, e-journals, and educational content; negotiates contracts and pricing.
• Partners with Information Services on resource integration in EPIC, SharePoint, and LMS.
• Leads remote access and SSO technology initiatives to improve access.
